چکیده

Background: Liver stiffness measurements can be used to assess liver fibrosis and acquired by transient elastography using FibroScan ® with Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse imaging. The study aimed establish measurement scores in a chronic hepatitis C cohort explore the correlation agreement between factors influencing agreement. Methods: Patients had FibroScan® (right lobe of liver) left liver). We Spearman’s relationship scores. A Bland–Altman plot was evaluate bias mean percentage differences Univariable multivariable analyses were how such as body mass index, age gender influenced measurements. Results: Bland-Altman showed average (95% CI) difference 27.5% (17.8, 37.2), p < 0.001. There negative ( r = −0.41 (−0.57, −0.21), 0.001), thus showing that gets smaller for greater Body index biggest factor on 0.12 (0.01, 0.23), 0.05). at segment 5/8 good 0.83 (0.75, 0.89), 0.001). Conclusion: similar predictive values assessment patients infection; however, level varied across lower higher

The usefulness of transient elastography, acoustic-radiation-force impulse elastography, and real-time elastography for the evaluation of liver fibrosis

BACKGROUND/AIMS Several noninvasive methods have recently been developed for the evaluation of liver fibrosis. The accuracy of transient elastography (TE), acoustic-radiation-force impulse (ARFI) elastography, and real-time elastography (RTE) in predicting liver fibrosis were evaluated. METHODS Seventy-four patients who had undergone a liver biopsy within the previous 6 months were submitted ...

Changes in liver stiffness measurement using acoustic radiation force impulse elastography after antiviral therapy in patients with chronic hepatitis C

BACKGROUND To compare on-treatment and off-treatment parameters acquired using acoustic radiation force impulse elastography, the Fibrosis-4 (FIB-4) index, and aspartate aminotransferase-to-platelet ratio index (APRI) in patients with chronic hepatitis C (CHC). METHODS Patients received therapies based on pegylated interferon or direct-acting antiviral agents. The changes in paired patient pa...

Factors Influencing the Diagnostic Accuracy of Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse Elastography in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B

BACKGROUND/AIMS To determine factors predictive of discordance in staging liver fibrosis using liver biopsy (LB) and acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI) elastography in patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB). METHODS Consecutive patients with CHB who underwent LB and ARFI elastography on the same day from November 2010 to March 2013 were prospectively recruited from three tertiary hospit...

Liver and spleen stiffness measured by acoustic radiation force impulse elastography for noninvasive assessment of liver fibrosis and esophageal varices in patients with chronic hepatitis B.

OBJECTIVES To evaluate the performance of liver and spleen stiffness measured by acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI) elastography for noninvasive assessment of liver fibrosis and esophageal varices in patients with chronic hepatitis B virus. METHODS Two hundred sixty-four participants, of whom 60 were healthy volunteers (classified as stage 0), 66 were patients with chronic hepatitis B wh...

Factors that influence the correlation of acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI), elastography with liver fibrosis.

AIM To establish the influence of different factors on the correlation between liver stiffness (LS) measurements by ARFI and liver fibrosis, evaluated by liver biopsy (LB). We assessed the following factors: the success rate (SR) and interquartile range (IQR) interval, the place where ARFI was performed, liver steatosis, the quality of the specimen obtained by LB. METHODS We studied 471 patie...
